We build portfolios primarily using mutual funds from Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA). Unique within the mutual fund industry, DFA directly applies the findings of leading academic researchers in the design and operations of their mutual funds.

DFA utilizes the passive investment approach espoused by Post Asset Management. While philosophically similar to index funds, DFA funds employ a variety of techniques to improve upon traditional index fund performance.

DFA offers institutional class mutual funds that are available to individual investors only through a select group of independent registered investment advisors. Advisors with access to DFA go through a multiple step process including presentations on financial theory to ensure that the advisor and DFA share the same investment philosophy.
